PENINGKATAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP SISWA SMP PADA MATERI PENGUKURAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penguasaan konsep siswa SMP pada materi pengukuran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP kelas VII tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam hal penguasaan konsep pada materi pengukuran. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang masih rendah dengan rata-rata nilai siswa 66,94 pada siklus I, dilanjutkan pada siklus II mencapai 86,13. Jadi, penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi pengukuran meningkat yang ditunjukkan adanya peningkatan dilihat dari hasil observasi dan nilai hasil belajar.

This study aims to determine the level of mastery of the concept of junior high school students in the measurement material. The subjects in this study were seventh grade junior high school students in the 2019/2020 school year. This research is a classroom action research. Data collection techniques using observation and student learning outcomes. The results showed that students had difficulty in mastering concepts in the measurement material. This is indicated by the student learning outcomes that are still low with an average student score of 66.94 in the first cycle, followed in the second cycle reaching 86, 13. So, mastery of student concepts in the measurement material increased as indicated an increase seen from the results of observation and the value of learning outcomes.
