Gambaran Sex Education pada Generasi Z di SMP Negeri 23 Banjarmasin

Abstract

Technological developments greatly affect the life of generation Z, one of which is information about sex. In order to avoid problems that can occur in the aspect of sexual development in generation Z, generation Z must have an understanding of sex education that is appropriate to the stage of their sexual development. This research was conducted with the aim of describing the description of Sex Education in Generation Z at SMP Negeri 23 Banjarmasin. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of survey research. The data collection used was a sex education questionnaire with a Likert scale, with a total sample of 199 Generation Z or class VII students at SMP Negeri 23 Banjarmasin. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample technique. Data analysis with descriptive statistics. Based on the validity and reliability tests when testing with 30 respondents, there are 8 invalid items so that the remaining 22 items can be used and the instrument reliability value is 0.872. The results of this study indicate that Generation Z belongs to the moderate category in every aspect, which means that Generation Z knows enough about sex education. Information services regarding sex education for Generation Z can be provided through family and school education, which aims to improve and support development and prevent problems that might occur in their sexual development. It is hoped that this research can provide information so that it can be used as a reference and can be developed to be more perfect by future researchers.

Perkembangan teknologi sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan generasi Z, salah satunya informasi mengenai seks. Agar terhindar dari masalah-masalah yang dapat terjadi dalam aspek perkembangan seksual pada generasi Z, maka generasi Z harus memiliki pemahaman sex education yang tepat sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan seksualnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran Sex Education pada generasi Z di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 23 Banjarmasin.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu instrumen angket sex education dengan skala Likert, dengan jumlah sampel 199 Generasi Z atau siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 23 Banjarmasin. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Analisis data dengan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan uji validitas dan reliabilitas saat uji coba dengan 30 responden, maka terdapat 8 item tidak valid sehingga tersisa 22 item yang dapat digunakan dan nilai reliabilitas instrumen yaitu 0,872. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Generasi Z tergolong pada kategori sedang pada setiap aspeknya, yang artinya generasi Z cukup mengetahui mengenai sex education. Layanan informasi mengenai sex education bagi Generasi Z dapat diberikan melalui pendidikan keluarga maupun sekolah, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan dan mendukung perkembangan serta mencegah masalah yang mungkin dapat terjadi pada perkembangan seksualnya. Harapannya penelitian ini dapat memberikan informasi sehingga dapat dijadikan referensi dan dapat dikembangkan menjadi lebih sempurna  oleh peneliti selanjutnya.
