Pengaruh Persepsi Siswa Tentang Kompetensi Guru BK Terhadap Intensi Dalam Memanfaatkan Layanan BK

Abstract

Students tend to have diverse interests in responding to the guidance and counseling services available at their schools. Guidance and counseling teachers as executors of guidance and counseling services have an important role in attracting students' attention through competence shown through interactions that occur both during the process of providing guidance and counseling services or in everyday life. Therefore, counseling teachers must be able to optimize their competencies so that they can attract the attention of students so they want to maximize opportunities to take part in the available guidance and counseling services. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of students' perceptions of the competence of counseling teachers on their intention to utilize counseling services for public high schools in Pemalang District. The population in this study consisted of all students of class X totaling 432 students using a correlational quantitative research method and then using a proportional sampling technique so that a sample of 203 students was obtained. Data collection was carried out using the psychological scale of students' perceptions of the competence of the counseling teacher and the psychological scale of intentions in utilizing guidance and counseling services after going through the results of the validity of the perception scale totaling 29 items and the intention scale of 18 items then the results of the perception scale reliability of 0.882 and the intention scale of 0.903. The data analysis technique used was correlational analysis with the results of this study showing that there was an influence from students' perceptions of the competence of counseling teachers at 33.3%. This means that on the basis of the theory used, namely Theory of Planned Behavior, in this theory intentions can be influenced by three factors, namely attitudes, subjective norms and perceptions so that intentions in this study can be influenced by perception factors by 33.3% then by 66.7% influenced by attitudes and subjective norms.

Siswa cenderung memiliki ketertarikan yang beragam dalam menanggapi layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang terdapat di sekolahnya. Guru BK sebagai pelaksana layanan bimbingan dan konseling memiliki peran penting dalam menarik perhatian siswa melalui kompetensi yang ditunjukan lewat interaksi yang terjadi baik selama proses pemberian layanan bimbingan dan konseling ataupun dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu guru BK harus bisa mengoptimalkan kompetensi yang dimiliki agar dapat menarik perhatian siswa supaya mau memaksimalkan kesempatan untuk mengikuti layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang tersedia. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi siswa tentang kompetensi guru BK terhadap intensi dalam memanfaatkan layanan BK SMA Negeri di Kecamatan Pemalang. Populasi pada penelitian ini berupa seluruh siswa kelas X berjumlah 432 siswa dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional kemudian menggunakan teknik proportional sampling sehingga mendapatkan sampel berjumlah 203 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan skala psikologis persepsi siswa tentang kompetensi guru BK dan skala psikologis intensi dalam memanfaatkan layanan bimbingan dan konseling setelah melalui hasil validitas skala persepsi  berjumlah 29 butir dan skala intensi 18 butir kemudian hasil reliabilitas skala persepsi sebesar 0,882 dan skala intensi sebesar 0,903. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis korelasional dengan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya pengaruh dari persepsi siswa tentang kompetensi guru BK sebesar 33,3%. Artinya pada dasar teori yang digunakan yaitu Theory of Planned Behavior, pada teori ini intensi dapat dipengaruhi oleh tiga faktor yaitu sikap, norma subjektif dan persepsi sehingga intensi pada penelitian ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor persepsi sebesar 33,3% kemudian sebesar 66,7% dipengaruhi oleh sikap dan norma subjektif.
