Potential Profile of Among Jiwo Social Institution Based on SOAR

Among Jiwo Social Rehabilitation Center is a special facility from the social service that is used as a shelter or temporary shelter for Beggars, Homeless, Abandoned People (PGOT), and People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ). Among Jiwo applies a SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) based approach, which focuses on identifying and developing strengths, utilizing opportunities, and achieving aspirations and desired results. The SOAR approach helps Among Jiwo maximize the potential of residents receiving treatment and create an environment that supports the recovery and health of its residents. It also strengthens their self-confidence and prepares them to adapt to society. Among Jiwo is supported by various routine check-up activities, skills training, and social activities carried out to achieve the goals of the vision and mission that have been created. Among Jiwo has collaborated with several mental hospitals, psychologists, and doctors, and there is nursing assistance for residents with difficulty carrying out normal activities. Among Jiwo accepts PGOT and ODGJ from Satpol PP, community donations, and hospitals. This article reviews how implementing the SOAR method at the Among Jiwo Social Rehabilitation Center can improve the effectiveness of ODGJ care and shelter for neglected people, as well as the strategies used to achieve positive outcomes for the residents of the center.
