Adolescents who successfully navigate developmental tasks tend to experience happiness, whereas those who fail may encounter an identity crisis. An identity crisis occurs when adolescents struggle to understand their true selves, often due to a lack of self-exploration and independent decision-making. To prevent this, guidance counseling can incorporate local cultural values in Indonesia, such as the Madura cultural values of Bhupa Babu Guru Rato. This study aims to construct the Madura cultural values of Bhupa Babu Guru Rato to prevent identity crises in students. Using a literature review method, the study searched for literature with keywords like group guidance, identity crisis, and Bhupa Babu Guru Rato values. The results indicate that Madura cultural values can be integrated through group guidance. Future researchers are encouraged to test the effectiveness of the Madura cultural values of Bhupa Babu Guru Rato in preventing identity crises in students.
Aji Mulya Pratama, Alief Laili Budiyono Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4345 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Integrating Disability into Community Life: Promoting Social Inclusion through Local Initiatives https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4346
The great influence of community-based strategies in promoting social inclusion and raising the welfare of people with disabilities is investigated in this paper. Policies and laws meant to protect the rights of people with disabilities have evolved even if many still face significant challenges prohibiting them from totally participating in society. This paper systematically reviews the current research and case studies to identify community-based strategies that successfully support social inclusion and well-being. The results emphasise the need of thorough treatments covering the social, psychological, and physical elements of well-being. Important plans call for building public areas open to everyone, including leisure events adapted to individual requirements, and providing conveniently available mental health treatments. The study also looks at how social networks and peer support could help to lower the usually encountered social isolation among persons with disabilities. It emphasises how joint efforts help to create inclusive and inspiring communities. This paper argues that it is possible to significantly raise the welfare and social inclusion of people with disabilities by means of community-based programs, therefore promoting more fair and strong society.
Sesya Dias Mumpuni, Laelia Nurpratiwiningsih, Ike Desi Florina, Sri Adi Nurhayati, Hijrah Eko Putro Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4346 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Efforts To Foster Mental Health Through Riyadhah An Nafs https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4347
The practice of riyadhah an nafs, a form of spiritual therapy in Islam, has been recognized as a potential approach to fostering mental health. This study aims to explore the efforts to improve mental health through the implementation of riyadhah an nafs. Mental health has become a growing concern globally, with increasing rates of disorders such as depression and anxiety. Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of spiritual well-being, and riyadhah an nafs, which involves disciplining the self and purifying the soul, has been proposed as a means to address mental health challenges. This research employed a qualitative approach using a literature review methodology, where relevant literature was systematically examined to gather data on the practice of riyadhah an nafs and its impact on mental health. The findings indicate that the practice of riyadhah an nafs, which encompasses various spiritual exercises and disciplines, can positively contribute to the improvement of mental health, with practices such as dhikr (remembrance of Allah), contemplation, and self-reflection being effective in reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, while also promoting a sense of inner peace and well-being. It is recommended that healthcare professionals and religious leaders collaborate to incorporate riyadhah an nafs-inspired practices into comprehensive mental health programs, and further research is suggested to explore the empirical link between riyadhah an nafs and measurable mental health outcomes.
Ulin Nihayah, Mungin Eddy Wibowo, DYP Sugiharto, Ali Formen Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4347 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Role of Peer Counselors as First Aid in The Decline Of Suicide In Central Java https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4348
Suicide is an act of destroying or hurting oneself with the indication of ending life. In Indonesia, Central Java province reported 350 suicide cases in 2023, with an increasing trend over the past 5 years. Suicide incidents should be a cause for concern and can be treated more seriously. Factors in which suicide occurs are largely dominated by the individual's unhealthy mental health condition. This research aims to describe the role of peer counselors in the process of psychological assistance for individuals who have suicidal thoughts. The method used in this research involves a literature study, beginning with the collection of relevant data, followed by an analysis of this data to identify patterns and draw conclusions regarding the role of peer counselors. The research results show that the role of peer counselors is very necessary as a form of first aid, especially with the ability to listen actively to individuals who are having suicidal thoughts. The presence of a peer counselor becomes a bridge to improve or reduce someone's suicidal behavior based on the comfort and convenience provided. This is also a supporting factor in the success of peer counselors in providing first aid to individuals who are suspected of committing suicide. A platform where everyone can become a peer counselor is one solution to help individuals who need help. Future researchers are encouraged to develop training programs for peer counselors and explore the long-term impact of peer counseling on reducing suicide rates.
Intan Hayyinul Ilma , Anggun Karomah Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4348 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Phubbing as a Pop Culture Phenomenon among Students in the Era of Society 5.0: A Systematic Literature Review https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4349
The use of technology used to be used as a tool to assist human beings in their activities can also have a negative impact on their own users. The purpose of this article is to theoretically discuss the integration of MI and CBT by reviewing previous research related to MI-CBT. Results revealed that the integration paradigm began when MI was initially developed to build initial motivation, but motivation still fluctuated in strength and direction during the enactment and maintenance of change, suggesting that integrating MI with CBT may create a more efficacious behavioral treatment than either set of strategies alone. There are six stages in implementing MI-CBT, including initial motivation sessions, assessment and treatment planning, self-monitoring, cognitive skills, skills training and maintenance of change. Currently, MI-CBT interventions are still widely used to treat depression and anxiety problems in clients and students. However, there is not much use of MI-CBT for learning problems, especially academic functions in students. So it is important to pay attention to the elements of academic function because academic function is something that needs to be prioritized in the learning process, where with good academic function students are able to carry out the learning process well.
Susilawati, DYP Sugiharto, Sunawan, Awalya Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4354 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Developing Model Halal Vaccine on Moslem Community: a Conceptual Model https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4355
This research has the urgency of being able to provide answers for academics and marketers of halal-labeled products in developing consumer behavior models as an effort to develop marketing strategies to reduce the Muslim community's doubts about halal vaccines. SFBC focuses on: 1) Future Orientation: Emphasizing on goals that can be achieved in the future, rather than on current or past problems. 2) Client Empowerment: Recognizing clients' resources and abilities to solve their own problems. 3) Clear Goal Setting: Setting specific, measurable, and realistic goals. 4) Solution-Based Questioning: Using questions that encourage clients to look at successes already achieved and how they can be expanded. This study used a qualitative method with a conceptual analysis approach, analyzing relevant literature on SFBC and rumination. The results show that the strength of SFBC lies in its ability to shift the focus from problems to actionable solutions, thus effectively reducing rumination and improving clients' mental well-being. This study emphasizes the potential of SFBC in enhancing guidance and counseling practices for individuals experiencing persistent negative thought patterns.
Hasna Agres Nabilah, Feren Apitasya Eltian Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4365 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Counseling Guidance for Children with Special Needs https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4367
Children with special needs have many conditions, such as specific disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, attention and hyperactivity disorders, learning disorders, and other conditions that affect their ability to learn and interact with their environment. Guidance counseling for children with special needs plays an important role in helping them face challenges and optimize their potential. Children with special needs face challenges in education and social-emotional development that require special attention. The integration of counseling services in an inclusive education system can improve the academic achievement and psychological well-being of children with disabilities. This research examines the evaluation of counseling services for children with special needs. The method used was a literature study with the SPIDER (Sample, Phenomenon of Interest, Design, Evaluation, Research Type) approach to review relevant literature from 2014 to 2024. The results showed that only a small proportion of children with special needs have adequate access to appropriate counseling services. There is an urgent need to improve the quality and accessibility of these services. The counselor to student ratio is far from ideal. In addition, there is a shortage of trained professionals, limited resources and social stigma or lack of understanding of children with disabilities in the community, limited school budgets and a lack of collaboration between schools, families and mental health professionals. The right counseling approach can improve the adaptability and social skills and emotional development of children with disabilities. In providing guidance and counseling to children with disabilities, understanding and adjusting to the needs and characteristics of children is a priority to provide maximum results. In addition, there are ways to improve the accessibility of guidance and counseling services by utilizing technology such as digital devices and online platforms.
Widiya Aris Radiani Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4367 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Improving Generation Z Employee Performance Through Positive Reinforcement: An Operant Behavior Intervention Through Instagram Social Media https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4368
In the scope of a career, performance becomes the main focus in achieving targets and goals. Thus, vocational identity has been a key variable in vocational research. However, most existing studies have used Holland, Gottfredson, and Power’s My Vocational Situation (MVS) vocational identity subscale to measure vocational identity. Due to its item wording, we contend that the MVS does not accurately capture vocational identity as a stable construct. Additionally, its dichotomous response scale limits researchers' ability to evaluate its psychometric properties. To address these issues, we developed and validated a new "Student School Counselor Vocational Identity Scale (SSCVIS)" with Likert-type responses. The SSCVIS aims to measure individuals' awareness of their stable career goals, interests, and abilities. A total of 100 statements were developed, consisting of 40 for exploration and 60 for commitment. The validity test was conducted using item-total score correlation, with all items showing significant results. The reliability was calculated using Cronbach's Alpha, yielding a score of 0.918. Results suggest that the SSCVIS possesses sound internal reliability, a stable single-factor structure, and good convergent validity with relevant constructs, such as the occupational subscale of the Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status (EOM-EIS). Based on these findings, we discuss the strengths and limitations of the SSCVIS scale and propose directions for future research.
Sudaryat Nurdin Akhmad, Uman Suherman AS, Ilfiandra Ilfiandra Copyright (c) 2025 https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4372 Sat, 15 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Acceptance and Use of Information Technology in Guidance and Counseling Services by School Counselors in West Java Based on Gender https://proceeding.unnes.ac.id/agcaf/article/view/4373
This study investigates the gender-based differences in technology acceptance and use among School Counselors in West Java, Indonesia, utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model.
