Mathematical Problem Solving Ability And Student Response with Differentiation Learning on Statistical Material
Keywords:
differentiated learning, responseAbstract
This research aims to determine the difference in improving the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who receive differentiated learning and students who receive conventional learning models and to determine students' responses to the application of differentiated learning. The method in this research is an experimental method with a true experimental design type. The research design is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all class VIII students at SMPN 1 Serang Panjang with sampling using purposive sampling, namely class VIIIB as the experimental class and class VIIIA as the control class. The instruments used are test instruments in the form of a Pretest-Posttest to measure students' mathematical problem solving abilities, and non-test instruments in the form of questionnaires to determine students' responses to the differentiated learning model. Based on the results of this research, the results showed that: the increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who received the differentiated learning model was higher than students who received the conventional learning model; students show a positive response to the application of differentiated learning.
