The indicators of statistical literacy used are understanding statistical concepts, analyzing, interpreting, drawing conclusions. There are many factors that cause low statistical literacy, one of the factors that needs to be considered to improve learning outcomes is learning style. This study aims to describe and analyze students' statistical literacy based on learning styles (auditory, visual, and kinesthetic). This study uses a mixed method approach with a sequential explanatory design and involves 66 students. The quantitative part of this study uses multiple linear regression tests. To test the effect of visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles on statistical literacy. Furthermore, qualitative research was conducted to thoroughly test its influence through in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles have an effect on statistical literacy (R = 0.658; p = 0.00) and contribute 43.3% based on the R-Square value. In addition, this study found differences in the performance of subjects with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. And the subject of visual and auditory learning styles is more influential than kinesthetic learning styles. Auditory learning style tend not to complete statistical literacy questions to completion. Students only fulfill the stage of understanding the concept of all statistical literacy indicators, while at the stage of analyzing, interpreting questions, making decisions, students have not been able to fulfill the domain of statistical literacy indicator. Visual learning style tend to complete statistical literacy questions to completion. To deal with health issues caused by consuming unsafe food, students need to be equipped with food safety literacy. This literacy can be improved through relevant and humanistic learning approaches, including socioscientific issues (SSI) learning. The SSI approach uses complex, controversial, and contemporary social issues in learning. This research aims to enhance students' food safety literacy through the SSI approach in analytical chemistry learning. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research samples were undergraduate pharmacy students who were taking analytical chemistry courses namely food analysis, at one university. The sample was taken by purposive sampling of as many as 106 students, consisting of 53 class A students as a control group who used problem-based learning and 52 class B students as an experimental group who used the SSI approach to problem-based analytical chemistry learning. The instrument was in the form of food safety literacy questions total of 40 multiple-choice questions, which have been declared valid and reliable. The research was conducted in seven class meetings over seven weeks. Pretests and posttests were carried out in each class, followed by the N-Gain test to determine the increase in the average grade of the class and the Mann-Whitney difference test to determine the significance of the difference in scores between the two classes. The results showed that the experimental class experienced a higher average score increase with an N-Gain value of 0.62 compared to the control class with an N-Gain value of 0.47, even though both were still in the medium category. The pretest results of the experimental class were no different from the control class with a significance value of 0.681. The posttest results of the experimental class were significantly different from the control class with a significance value of 0.013. The specific objectives of the research: (1) describe the characteristics of the developed teaching materials, (2) test the validity of the developed teaching materials, (3) test the readability level of the developed teaching materials. This research and development (R&amp;D) uses the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The stage begins with needs analysis and problem identification; designing prototypes of teaching materials that contain cultural ethnoscience based on understanding by design; developing, validating, testing and assembling products; ends with disseminating the product. The pilot product for teaching materials that contains cultural ethnoscience based on understanding by design developed in this research is Sound Waves. The data collection instrument is a validation sheet for teaching materials; gap test to test readability; literacy &amp; numeracy test, love of homeland culture scale to test the effectiveness of teaching materials; and a Likert scale to determine the practicality of using teaching materials. The data analysis technique uses the Aiken's V formula for validation tests, percentages for assessing gap tests. The characteristics of teaching materials that contain cultural ethnoscience based on understanding by design have the features "Our Culture!", "Let's Try!", and "Why is this?". "Our Culture!" contains articles and readings related to ethnoscience, to support the character of love for the country. The “Let's Try It!” contains experiments related to the material. The “Why is This?” contains questions about conceptual understanding, literacy and numeracy. With this question, it is hoped that students will better understand the concept and stimulate critical thinking. This ability is important as a basic capital and potential that prospective teachers must have to face challenges in the 21st Century. This understanding of science concepts and processes can be integrated in a local knowledge of the community in an area such as ethnobotanical knowledge. This study aims to analyse the science literacy profile of students about ethnobotanical knowledge of medicinal plants used by the Karimun Akit Tribe. The method used is a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely students of the Karimun University Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) study programme in semesters 2, 4 and 6 totalling 39 people. The instrument used was 20 multiple choice questions that had been validated. The results of this study indicate that the science literacy ability of PGSD students at Karimun University towards ethnobotanical studies of medicinal plants by the Karimun Akit Tribe has an average score of 55.64 with a low category. In addition, the results of student achievement in each science literacy competency obtained a very low category with sequential percentage scores, namely: the ability to explain phenomena scientifically (40.55%), the ability to interpret data and evidence scientifically (31.80%), and the ability to evaluate and design scientific investigations (27.65%). The method in this research is an experimental method with a true experimental design type. The research design is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all class VIII students at SMPN 1 Serang Panjang with sampling using purposive sampling, namely class VIIIB as the experimental class and class VIIIA as the control class. The instruments used are test instruments in the form of a Pretest-Posttest to measure students' mathematical problem solving abilities, and non-test instruments in the form of questionnaires to determine students' responses to the differentiated learning model. The study was conducted with 33 students, 17 boys and 16 girls as research subjects in one of the State Senior High Schools in Semarang City. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study are (1) 87% of students think that the use of E-worksheet helps them master hydrocarbon material, (2) 88% of students think that E-worksheet is interesting and fun, (3) 89% of students stated that the language used in E-worksheet can be understood well.
