Relapse in schizophrenia is widely recognized as the reappearance or worsening of psychotic symptoms. Prevention of relapse is a major challenge for patients and their families, and mental health professionals, and is one of the main goals in the management of schizophrenia. Due to the fact that families of schizophrenic patients are their primary caregivers, their involvement is critical in managing and preventing recurrence of symptoms (continuum of care). To identify caregivers and relapse in schizophrenic patients. The articles were obtained from the ScienceDirect, Pubmed, and Ovid databases. When dealing with patients, family care for schizophrenics is demonstrated via the use of parenting techniques and family expressed emotion. It is possible to gauge the patient's family's feelings for him or her by how they express themselves. Relapse was more common among schizophrenic patients who lived in families where expressed emotion was strong, compared to those who lived in families where expressed emotion was low. Factors that influence the relapse in patients with schizophrenia are the family's emotional expression. good socioeconomic factors, extended family support, community and psychoeducation play an important role in building the emotional stability of caregivers or caregivers of people with schizophrenia.
