Abstract

Rugby Sevens is a variant of rugby union played by teams of seven players in a sevenminute half. The game requires high speed, dexterity and technical expertise from each player, so each position in the team has a more versatile role than in rugby union. The purpose of this study was to determine the skill level of women's rugby team in Grobogan Regency. This study uses survey research with a test and measurement approach, the type of research is descriptive quantitative. The subjects of the study were female rugby athletes aged 18 and over-21 years, a total of 8 players. The instruments used are passing, catching, tackling, kicking, and running, each test is done in 1 minute. The results of the rugby ability test were categorized into six sections: very good, good, average, less, very bad, and poor. All 8 players in the study were classified in the good category, which indicates a satisfactory level of rugby skills. The study provides valuable information for coaches to design training programs that are tailored to the abilities and needs of the players. With this knowledge, coaches can focus on improving specific areas where players need more work, ultimately leading to better performance on the field.
