Abstrak
Higher education leadership is known for its ability to generate motivation and inspiration to achieve goals and increase innovation. The main characteristics of a leadership style include empathy, having a strong vision, building good relationships, and stimulating intellectual growth. Through the functions and roles of higher education leadership, leaders (rectors, directors, deans and lecturers) are able to form a work culture that is flexible and responsive to change, this is very important in dealing with crisis situations. The essence of leadership is manifested in a process that includes inspiration, development, and empowerment of followers. In other words, leadership is a process that involves inspiring and empowering individuals, groups, and organizations. Qualitative research analyzes the phenomenon of the role of higher education leadership in managing environmental resources in the digital era in Bojonegoro Regency, which is known to have abundant natural gas and oil resources. Higher education leadership collaborates so that the existence of abundant resources is in line with increasing human resources and continues to pay attention to reforestation through reforestation or maintaining the ecosystem and its cleanliness.
