Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Citra SMK N 1 Gantiwarno Melalui Akun Media Sosial Youtube

Abstract

Abstrak. Latar belakang penelitian ini  adalah kemajuan teknologi informasi dengan munculnya internet dan handphone yang mempengaruhi gaya interaksi masyarakat. Adanya akun media sosial youtube @smknesaga yang memuat video berbagai kegiatan di SMK N 1 Gantiwarno. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat tentang citra SMK N 1 Gantiwarno melalui akun media sosial youtube. Teori yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini antara lain adalah uraian teoritis tentang komunikasi, persepsi, masyarakat, citra, media sosial, youtube. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pemilihan masyarakat disini adalah masyarakat yang melihat dan subscribe tayangan youtube @smknesaga. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan pengambilan sampel secara random dari masyarakat yang viewer dan subscriber youtube @smknesaga.  Teknik pengambilan data dengan cara observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan persepsi masyarakat tentang citra SMK N 1 Gantiwarno adalah sekolah yang mengalami banyak kemajuan pada pengembangan IT, sarana prasarana dan kegiatan kesiswaan dan tenaga kependidikan.

Abstract. The background of this research is the advancement of information technology with the emergence of the internet and cellphones which affect the style of community interaction. There is a YouTube social media account @smknesaga which contains videos of various activities at SMK N 1 gantiwarno. The purpose of this study was to determine the public's perception of the image of SMK N 1gantiwarno through the YouTube social media account. The theories used in this study include theoretical descriptions of communication, perception, society, image, social media, youtube. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The people here are the people who watch and subscribe to @smknesaga's youtube show. The data collection technique is by taking random samples from people who are viewers and subscribers of @smknesaga youtube. Data collection techniques by means of observation and interviews. The results of this study indicate the public's perception of the image of SMK N 1 gantiwarno is a school that has experienced a lot of progress in the development of IT, infrastructure and activities for students and education staff.
