Abstract

The Sport Education Model (SEM) is a physical education learning approach that emphasizes learning experiences similar to real sports contexts by presenting competitive seasons, student roles, and authentic assessments. This study aims to describe the benefits of implementing the Sport Education Model on Physical Education (PE) learning for elementary school students. The research method used literature studies and limited field observations at the UPTD SDN 2 Plosokerep, Terisi District, Indramayu Regency, West Java. The results showed that the SE model had a significant impact on increasing students' motivation, cooperation, sense of responsibility, motor skills, and understanding of game tactics. In conclusion, the Sport Education Model is an effective alternative learning model to improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes of PE in elementary schools.
