Abstract

Physical fitness is a crucial factor supporting the success of students' learning process at school. Physical fitness can improve concentration, memory, motivation, and student readiness to participate in learning activities. For students at SMPN 2 Kendal, good physical fitness is a key asset in facing increasingly complex academic demands. This study aims to determine the contribution of physical fitness to student learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Kendal. This study used a descriptive method with a correlational design and a quantitative approach. The study population was 56 students at SMPN 2 Kendal, and the sampling technique used total sampling. The instruments used included a physical fitness test to measure students' physical fitness levels and report card documentation to determine learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using normality tests, linearity tests, and correlation tests using SPSS version 21. The analysis showed that physical fitness had a significance value of 0.394 <0.05 on learning outcomes. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between physical fitness and student learning outcomes at SMPN 2 Kendal. There is a significant contribution between physical fitness and student learning outcomes. This suggests that better physical fitness levels tend to be associated with more optimal learning outcomes. These findings can serve as a basis for schools to strengthen physical activity programs and Physical Education instruction
