Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how arm length and arm strength influence the pitching velocity of basebal players from the Bumi Asri Club in Bandung Regency. Throwing, as a key element of baseball, supports both offensive and defensive performance. It is assumed that anthropometric factors, especially arm length, and biomotor components, such as arm strength, relate to the ability to produce effective pitching ty. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a corral appnal approach. The subjects were 15 baseball players from Qhe Bumi Asri Club selected through total samplig The instruments included an anthropometric meter to measure arm length, a soffball throw test to assess arm strength, and a radar gun to measure pitching velocty. Mutiple correlation and reoression analyses were conducted to determine the influence of each variable. The results showed that arm strength and arm length were positively corred with pitching velocity. Athough arm length showed a e, both variables contributed to increased pitching speed. These findings indicate program focused on developing arm strength and maximizing the use of arm length is essental improving pitching performance among baseball athletes.
