This study aims to analyze the technical performance and tactical strategies demonstrated in the Men’s Doubles Final of the Sathio Group Australia Open 2025, featuring the pairing of Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri against Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, using a video-based match analysis approach. A quantitative descriptive design was employed, with the match replay serving as the primary data source. All strokes, points, rally patterns, and errors committed by both pairs were recorded manually at 0.5× playback speed and processed using a structured statistical coding sheet. Additional contextual information was obtained from the official BWF website. The results show considerable variation in playing patterns across the three games. The first game was highly competitive, with both pairs demonstrating balanced offensive and defensive exchanges. The second game was dominated by Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri through an aggressive attacking approach characterized by a high frequency of smashes. In contrast, the third game revealed effective tactical adaptation by Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, who combined defensive lifts, extensive drive exchanges, and reduced errors during crucial points, enabling them to secure the final victory. Overall, the findings indicate that tactical adaptability and error control are key determinants in high-level badminton performance.
